Pew Research Center discovered that a majority of Americans think the others are immoral (and guess where Canadians stand on same question). What a surprise! Also, it is interesting how Dems and Reps viewed each other in 2022. See below 3 charts from that 25-country study: morality, homosexuality and abortion.

It's definitely been interesting to move from the bottom of the "my concitizens are good people" list to the top. (Not that there are no issues with prejudice and trust in Canada but I think these kinds of questions are proscriptive as well as descriptive - Canadians expect each other to be good people, Americans don't anymore...)

I think it's still possible to crack the Conservatives' coalition/he gets stabbed in the front by the ProgCons. Takes work tho.

I don't think Carney can fight gravity forever, but I also think PP has a lot of unique weaknesses when Trump/US aggression is a salient issue (he can't cut MapleMAGA loose bc he needs them to win) and also against a Blue Liberal in general. So basically, I don't think the leadership review necessarily means PP is at the wheel forever.

Also curious about NDP under new leadership, but agree that it's a huge mistake to ignore Quebec. I guess the hope is to be a pressure release valve in the Prairies and BC?
