| What is happening is that AIs are slowly becoming the new priests of the religion of knowledge (and implicitly the "truth" gatekeepers). Just as rabbis, priests and mullahs have in the past (and still maintain in many countries today) all the prestige and authority that built entire societies around a very simple idea of governing society (the golden rule), so too have AIs begun and continue to seize all the prestige and authority around governing the society of the future. That those who control the levers of the new authorities are much fewer and better organized and financed is indeed something relatively new. | Ce se întâmplă este că AI-urile devin încet, încet popimea nouă a religiei cunoașterii (și implicit deținătorii “adevărului”). Umanitatea si inteligenta artificiala
Feb. 16th, 2025 09:32 amDacă acceptăm că toată inteligenta si creativitatea oricărui om încape intr-un spațiu de aproximativ un litru volum si informația din creierul mamifer se mișcă cu o viteza de sute sau mii de ori mai încet decât intr-un calculator modern, că modelele de inteligenta artificiala evoluează mult mai rapid decât inteligenta umana in timp, nu suntem departe de momentul in care IA va surclasa inteligenta umana la toate categoriile, inclusiv literatura (creatie si digerare), arta, conversație, etc.
Chestia cu autenticitatea experienței, impactul emotional, etc sunt mofturi defensive vestimentare cu care oamenii se înfofolesc pt a se distanta de toate celelalte ființe (relativ inferioare sau superioare nouă), pt a construi un eșafodaj (șubred) menit sa ne dea o unicitate cat ma clara fata de toti ceilalți si in același timp sa ne distanțeze de moarte si neant. In viitorul apropiat, toate aceste mofturi vor deveni irelevante când IA va expune fără milă si cu nepăsare, îngâmfarea si micimea umanității.

3. Positive feedback mechanisms: compounding interest, rent seeking, oligopoly, monopoly, wealth concentration.

The afternoon showers of 6th October 2282 just started as Tobor entered its usual slumber. BORK started germinating almost instantly. Its roots reached deep into the wet ground and its stem and leaves were quickly reaching for the greenish trimoon skies.
The morning of 6th October 2282, Tobor had accidentally dropped BORK just a few paces outside his charging station.
Sometime in the summer of 2282, the BORK project was completed, and it became the last of humanity when BettaNellie succumbed to her injuries only weeks later due to an unfortunate incident involving its pet aurantius priapulida.

On Dec 10th 2260, with all AlphaMunchausen long gone after the last war with BROG.STOB. (aka B.S.), BetaNellie decided to create a skunkworks project which she named Beta Omega Rice Kernel (BORK) as a last-ditch attempt to salvage something before B.S. wiped all traces of humans and cyborgs. All the surviving data on humanity was microprinted on one ὄρυζα saliva kernel's surface.

Great ape nature similarity
Mar. 30th, 2023 10:36 amI wonder how much human society/culture/nature (with all its complexity and "advancement") is really not that much different than chimps/bonobos:
The common chimpanzee has a troop culture based on beta males led by an alpha male, and highly complex social relationships. The bonobo, on the other hand, has egalitarian, nonviolent, matriarchal, sexually receptive behaviour. Bonobos frequently have sex, sometimes to help prevent and resolve conflicts. Different groups of chimpanzees also have different cultural behaviour with preferences for types of tools. The common chimpanzee tends to display greater aggression than does the bonobo.

2. Someone on Ciprian Mihali's FB page, recommended an excellent website that summarizes visually YouTube's political recommendation web. It is quite revealing even if somewhat predictable.
3. Romanian conservatives borrowed and labeled an anti-left pejorative that AFAIK does not exist in English: sexo-marxism (quite possibly an adaptation of Ludwig Hoppe's 1920 sexueller Bolschewismus, itself a variant of cultural Bolshevism). Here is an attempt by a Romanian medieval blowhard to define it and here is a more reasonable attempt.
