Homebrew power generation

Via slashdot, I found out about a very cool site (otherpower.com) which documents DYI projects in power generation. The latest is a 17' turbine that generates 400W at 10mph winds an 1500W at 16mph. That's super cool! Of course, most of their projects are for those that don't live in the city, but true DYI folks and city dwellers are almost disjoint sets anyway, aren't they?
