Satanic Gods?

What if the Abrahamic God is truly an evil god that tricked us into believing he is the good one after he locked up his identical twin Satan forever in Hell, mirrored and condemned the twins true nature, tricked Adam and Eve when he took the form of the serpent in order to enslave humanity forever, (inadvertently) infused our souls with all his flaws, he keeps tempting us at every opportunity, he made up Heaven and all the awaits us in the afterlife is oblivion or Hell? What if Jesus was not his son, but a Buddhist imposter which jives a lot more with the incongruity of the jealous, projecting, smiting, petty and genocidal god of the Old Testament? Doesn’t humanity’s history and especially the recent history of his chosen people really confirm this?

LE: What if the Holy Books are more often than not nothing more than Rorschach tests? Many derived and will keep deriving from them crusades, world domination, racism, messianic egotistical delusions, eternal internecine dogmatic warfare, while others truly love their neighbours without smothering them, compose fabulous devotional music, study nature without boundaries in all its glory as it is His creation (without fear of some imagined wrath or petty jealousy) and are always aware of their flaws and limitations when contemplating whether to pick up a sharp or heavy stone to throw?

This just seems like supercessionism with extra steps. Why is Jesus Buddhist, except because you for some reason want to spare Christians the totalizing judgment you reserve for Jewish people? Oh sorry, for The Old Testament.

You are right of course. I am being unkind to the OT (and indirectly to Jews) because after all Jesus main message in the NT is already in Leviticus 19:18. At the same time, it is hard to ignore that his chosen people have taken one hundred of children and women eyes for every woman and child eye lost and will take even more while their God commanded them to love their neighbour.

I don't think you have to or should ignore that, just that it's morally and intellectually wrong to say the reason it is happening is because they don't believe in Jesus.

I think you're reading too much between the lines and projecting even more by hurling lame accusations of "morally and intellectually wrong". I never said that the reason "it" (whatever that might be) "is happening because they don't believe in Jesus". If you read again my original post, my main driving point is that the Abrahamic God is an evil god. It affects equally ALL his believers (reread this sentence: "Doesn’t humanity’s history and especially the recent history of his chosen people really confirm this?"). The Jesus comment was not some sort of attempt to lift him as a true Saviour that damns the Jews by exclusion (unless you like to overplay the victim card). On the other hand, Israel has managed to sully its own image all by itself through its over-the-top reactions that border on genocide as of late.

I agree with you on Israel, but I guess I just don't understand what else the point of the Jesus comment is. I am probably coming down too hard on that due to growing up in a very Catholic background that was kind of constantly doing that kind of thing in order to exculpate the Catholic church.

I am an agnostic atheist that is nominally an Eastern Orthodox Christian so my beef in general is with any god that people still believe in in this day and age and especially with them using their belief as a weapon to proselytize and conquer the heathen or even kill their fellow man. The Jesus comment was simply trying to frame his place in the Abrahamic continuum as to his possible "alien" origin (given his emphasis largely on carrot not on stick compared to say the OT fire and brimstone emphasis), and not as some sort of litmus test for true believers. It's interesting how we misread each other: I thought you were a Zionist given your comments, and I can only guess what you thought of me.

I thought "supersessionism" would have outed me as someone Catholic-adjacent (albeit an atheistic apostate). On my end, I didn't see you as some kind of maniac, just thought you wanted to carve out an exception for Jesus+followers of Jesus in a way that struck me as truly unfair.

And I think in general, I'm pretty sensitive to labeling things or people as "Satanic."

LOL. Your "supersessionism" came across as a Jewish gripe about common anti-Semitic Christian attitudes projected unto my "agnostic" post, and not at all as an ex-Catholic's sensitivity around Catholism's spotted history re: Jews. Notice that I labeled the Abrahamic God as a mirror/twin of Satan (mostly due to the unspeakable deeds done by ALL his Abrahamic disciples in his name which deeds are closer to the idea of Satan and not going for the head fake of lofty words written or spoken in his name). I am a lot more desensitized to the word Satan as a variation of it was heavily used by one of my grandmas in mundane situations :) and I used the word intentionally as a challenge to free thinkers and a natural thought extrapolation re: Muhammad's Satanic Verses.
