Adam Riess thinks the Standard Model might be wrong

It appears that based on DESI data disseminated as recently as March of this year, our Standard Model (i.e. accelerating universe expansion and heat death) might be wrong, or so thinks Adam Riess (the Nobel prize winner who put the final polishes on the Standard Model which he is now trying to dismantle). It all centres around the Hubble tension or, as I like to call it, the flickering candle light inside our demiurge’s poorly lit cave.
