Red necks complain about fire and wind happening upwind

This is quite close to an Onion headline: US lawmakers write to Canada to complain its wildfire smoke is spoiling summer. Excerpt from the letter:

In our neck of the woods, summer months are the best time of the year to spend time outdoors recreating, enjoying time with family, and creating new memories, but this wildfire smoke makes it difficult to do all those things

I wonder if they think more raking can fix the issue or maybe more ivermectin or praying?

I think this is actually progress for them. A few years ago, they thought it was a conspiracy that when they looked at US forest fire data, all the fires stopped at the border.

Yeah, I noticed that something similar is happening to weather systems: they cut off exactly on the border on some newscast maps. I am sure the minutemen militias will eventually get to the bottom of it or double up their tin foil hats and border patrols.

We need to start a conspiracy that the wind farms aren't for power generation but to keep the smoke away. :)
