China vs USA and cyberwarfare

Nicolas Chaillan wrote on article on FT about how US is falling behind China on cyberwarfare and that created some waves. Here is some commentary on his linkedin.com blog and an earlier article about the urgency of his message in the Air Force mag. Also, a good reference point in the discussion is his DoD resignation letter or the post-resignation Air Force response. What surprises me is how superficially Reuters is covering his message (which was my entry point into the discussion). 

My take is the Chaillan was both frustrated with the slow pace at DoD and with the fact that he was becoming technologically stale (duh), such that all of that emotion came through probably a bit more than necessary.
