Trump jumps the shark declaring that 2024 is last US election if he wins

Yesterday, Trump declared at Turning Point, FL, that if he gets elected, this is the last time people will need to vote in a US election (shortly before admitting to a Christian audience that he is not a Christian). What's sad is the contortions the CNN interviewee went through to explain away the cynicism and absolute darkness of that "promise".

I will be fair.

Trump's words can equally be construed as meaning that between 2024 and 2028 so much of the Christian Reconstructionist agenda will have been implemented that there will be no way to reverse it, even after a Democratic win in the following election.

Not that that's a better (for Trump) interpretation. But it's equally possible. (The ambiguity lies in the word "fixed".)

You are correct that one COULD interpret it that way, but given his past and current legal troubles, his mental deterioration, his autocratic tendencies, that would be a very naive and foolhardy interpretation, n'est-ce pas?
