Royal Game of Ur

The Royal Game of Ur is over 4400 years old (one of the oldest) and is similar to backgammon. I played it today with the Finkel rules and beat the easy, medium and hard (third try with 7-4 score). I can't wait to play the physical version. The game also reminded me of my backgammon games with my favourite uncle back in the 80s.

Found that the free game website has a Panda fourth level of hardness and I lost the first attempt against it (7-5 score where Panda had 100% accuracy while mine was only 70% which was worse than my 76% accuracy when I beat the hard level). To play Panda for free one is allowed only one game per day, so I will have to wait until tomorrow night to play it again :)

M and I played the game in physical format on Sunday (with 4 regular dice where evens were 0 and odds were 1 and I used quarter coins while M used pennies and similar copper coins). I won by the skin of my teeth with a single roll away from losing. At one point I had one quarter remaining and M had 3 pennies, all 4 near the start line.
