ionelvWhile it is well publicized that 250 of the freed Palestinians where mostly convicted for taking lives, the majority (1700+) were held without charge after being arrested post Oct 7, 2023. It is hard to find any details on them. Here is how AJC, Le Monde, and Al Jazeera describes them.
I recall reading that a lot of them were arrested on flimsy generic anti-insurrectionist charges and that the records are paper based only. So, while Israel can afford Palantir AIs to track and kill Palestinians using billions of dollars of munitions and military equipment, while they are maintaining databases of all Palestinians in any way linked to Hamas, Fatah, PA or other paramilitaries, inordinate amounts of coin and time are spent on propaganda meant to minimize what has been happening in Gaza, they can’t bother to digitize the arrest records for indefinite detentions or even bother to pretend to follow their own laws and judicial procedures? Give me a fucking break. This is intentional, imoral, and meant to obfuscate any sort of investigation after the fact.
