Heaven on Earth

What if we always lived in Heaven and some cynical demiurge(s) convinced (most of) us that we did not deserve it because of one mistake thousands of years ago by one couple and that Earth is not Heaven and that to make it back to Heaven we need to suck up to him even though we never left Heaven/Earth?

That would seem to require a rather Panglossian view of the world...

Obviously that was an extreme POV, but no more extreme than the Adam and Eve cruel and unusual banishment story, n'est-ce pas? I know that the story is allegorical, but given how literal it is to so many Christians shepherds (and flocks), wouldn't it make sense to propose a balancing allegorical counter-story? In my opinion, that story alone is such a big disturbance in the Force that has gone largely uncorrected for almost two millennia, that some effort shouldn't be put into righting the imbalance, especially by those that are aware of it.
